Colorado native Landon Mayer has become one of the acknowledged experts on trout fishing in his home state and in this new guide book he shares his knowledge. What I like best about this book is its completeness. It is filled with gorgeous color photos, detailed hatch charts and maps and most importantly, tons of accurate and updated information. There are chapters on 17 of the best rivers in the state, a general information chapter and appendix with the name, address, phone number and website of what looks like every guide, fly shop and rural motel in the state. If you are planning a trip to Colorado you must have this book, but even if you just want to daydream about a trip you will enjoy this book. Softcover, 320 pages.
