If you are using standard split shot, this as an indispensable tool. We all know the problems - shot is too tough to crimp by hand, so you put the toxic lead in your mouth and risk chipping a tooth. Then you can't get the darn shot open when you want to change it so you end up having to cut your line and re-rig. UGH! This great little tool changes everything - one end quickly and easily crimps the shot on your line and the other end forces it back open saving you time, frustration and allowing you to easily re-use your split shot.
